Full BBFC description reveals Deathly Hallows Part 2 spoilers
The full rating review by the British Board of Film Classification for Deathly Hallows Part 2 has revealed some spoilers about the contents of the film.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 2 is the final film in the series about the young wizard and his friends, Ron and Hermione. The three friends return to Hogwarts where they prepare for a final showdown against Voldemort. The film was classified '12A' for moderate threat, injury detail and language.
Like HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 1, the film is quite
dark and there is a sense of threat throughout. A number of familiar
characters are shown in danger, and some of them are injured or even
killed in the various battles that take place. However, the sense of
threat is moderate rather than strong and 'disturbing sequences are not
frequent or sustained,' in keeping with the requirements of the BBFC's
Guidelines at '12A'/'12'. There are some sad moments, particularly when
familiar characters are killed, but these scenes are handled
sensitively. It is also likely that many viewers will already be
familiar with the story from the books, reducing the impact of these
events.
The violence is generally quite undetailed. There are large-scale battle
scenes in which blood is visible on the clothes of the injured and dead
afterwards, but without clear injury detail. A stronger sequence occurs
when Voldemort orders the murder of a key character, leading to them
being repeatedly bitten by a snake. We hear the attack rather than
seeing it, but there is quite a lot of blood on the victim's neck and on
the wall behind him afterwards. The Guidelines at '12A'/'12' permit
'occasional gory moments' and there is no close-up injury detail or clear sight of injuries
being inflicted. Another gory moment occurs when Harry enters a
dreamlike world and sees a bloody foetus-like creature, which is clearly
not human. It is only shown briefly and Dumbledore speaks to Harry
about it, reassuring him and reducing any potentially distressing effect
on younger viewers.
The film also includes a single and aggressively directed use of the
word 'b*tch', during a fight scene. The Guidelines at '12A'/'12' state
'Moderate language is allowed'. There are also several uses of milder
language, such as 'bloody' and 'bloody h*ll'.Thanks to @byxspeaks.

The Harry Potter fandom and the publishing world had a big surprise earlier this month when The Sunday Times revealed that a little known book called The Cuckoo’s Calling, supposedly written by début author Robert Galbraith, was in fact the work of the one-and-only J.K. Rowling! The crime novel was published in April and garnered some rave reviews before the outing of the real author. The news spread like wildfire and its modest sales skyrocketed, sending it straight to the top of bestseller lists. Some speculated whether it was all a clever marketing strategy by the publisher, but the real story was soon revealed: a partner at a legal firm working with Rowling on the novel had told his wife about the true identity of Robert Galbraith, who disclosed it to her friend, who then informed a Sunday Times journalist. In March we heard the very sad news that Vernon Dursley actor Richard Griffiths had passed away at the age 65 following complications from heart surgery.
Richard was born in Yorkshire, the son of a steelworker and a seamstress, and went on to become a successful stage and screen actor, becoming well known for another uncle role, Uncle Monty in Withnail and I, and winning a Laurence Olivier award and a Tony award for his part in the play The History Boys.
Following his death in hospital in Coventry, tributes flooded from his Harry Potter colleagues and the wider world, and his funeral was attended by over 300 people.
Note: we’ve had a hiatus on this site for several months, meaning this news did not get reported, but we felt it appropriate to finally post it here. We wish Richard’s family and friends well as they continue to deal with the loss of a very well-loved man.

JK Rowling’s new book for adults The Casual Vacancy, her first novel since Harry Potter, hit store shelves throughout the world this morning!
With millions of pre-orders and most critics so far giving it favourable reviews, it looks like the book is going to be a resounding success. (Did anyone ever doubt that?) Congratulations to Jo in this new stage of her amazing career. We look forward to reading it!
