Harry Potter wins big at National Movie Awards

The National Movie Awards aired live this evening in the UK, and as usual Harry Potter was one of the big winners. Deathly Hallows Part 1 picked up Best Fantasy Film and Deathly Hallows Part 2 was named most anticipated movie of the summer.

Producers David Heyman and David Barron were there to accept the awards along with Bonnie Wright. Meanwhile Bonnie's fiance Jamie Campbell Bower, who appeared in Deathly Hallows Part 1 as the young Grindelwald, won the 'One to Watch' award. All the awards were voted for by the British movie-going public.

There's also a nice Harry Potter montage in the middle looking back at all the awards its won at the NMAs in the past. I managed to record all the HP related footage and you can watch that right here:

Newly released Harry Potter concept art shows plans for Nagini’s death, Rita Skeeter scene and more

A brilliant new batch of concept art for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie has surfaced online in the last few days. In the images below you can see artists’ impressions for the killing of Nagini scene with the horcrux explosion, some sketches for a book signing scene with Rita Skeeter that obviously didn’t make the final cut, designs for the contraption that fits Moody’s magical eye to Umbridge’s office door, and several life-like models of some revolting looking giants. Daniel Radcliffe is surely making good use of his last few weeks in New York. He just hosted Saturday Night Live and courtesy of hypable.com Radcliffe will co-host LIVE with Kelly on January 31.  Since the departure of Regis Philbin, Kelly has been swapping male co-hosts until a permanent replacement is found. I am sure this is an episode to be heavily watched. LIVE with Kelly airs weekday mornings at 9am EST on ABC.
