New rumours about HP Theme Parks in UK, S Korea

The Mirror yesterday reported that new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks, like the hugely successful one in Florida, are to be built in the UK and South Korea. They claim Warner Bros has registered "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" as a trademark in Britain, and that a Korean park is to open in 2014.

Unfortunately, these rumours have been dealt a blow as Romley Davis, a company that is working with WB to create the upcoming Harry Potter museum at Leavseden Studios, told Mugglenet that there are currently no plans for a UK park.

Additionally, Mugglenet revealed that there will be an official announcement on Thursday regarding the attraction being built at Leavesden, so stay tuned for that.

US Harry Potter DVD shipments to cease, beginning today

As we have previously reported, Warner Bros. is stopping all new shipments of Harry Potter DVDs and Blu-rays in the US.

Today, December 29th, this process has started, and stock on websites and in stores will not be replenished.

So if you are in the US, get your orders in for HP DVDs soon! They won’t be around for much longer.

However, they will not be gone forever, as WB does plan to release a new ‘Definitive Collection’ in around a year or so.
