The National Movie Awards aired live this evening in the UK, and as usual Harry Potter was one of the big winners. Deathly Hallows Part 1 picked up Best Fantasy Film and Deathly Hallows Part 2 was named most anticipated movie of the summer.
Producers David Heyman and David Barron were there to accept the awards along with Bonnie Wright. Meanwhile Bonnie's fiance Jamie Campbell Bower, who appeared in Deathly Hallows Part 1 as the young Grindelwald, won the 'One to Watch' award. All the awards were voted for by the British movie-going public.
There's also a nice Harry Potter montage in the middle looking back at all the awards its won at the NMAs in the past. I managed to record all the HP related footage and you can watch that right here:

Will the Americans ever give the Harry Potter movies the Oscars they really deserve or will they show their sour faces and not even acknowledge all 8 movies! You’ve probably heard about Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter (which I think we’ll usually shorten to the HP Studio Tour) and you perhaps already have your tickets booked for when it opens in March of 2012. The sets are being opened up for fans to visit and discover the secrets from the making of the Harry Potter film series.
Well, today the official facebook page revealed the exciting news that the Diagon Alley street set will be included in the tour, as well the sets of some its shops AND the set of Gringotts bank.
“It’s official. Boris Johnson has revealed that you will be able to step onto the famous cobbles of Diagon Alley and take a peek into Ollivanders wand shop, Flourish and Blotts, the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Gringotts Wizarding Bank and Eeylops Owl Emporium here at the Studio Tour.”
Just in from hypable.com, a Variety reporter just learned that Harry Potter and How to Succeed star Daniel Radcliffe will host Saturday Night Live next month! He will host the January 14 episode and we hope there will be a Potter skit present as well. We will post a few clips following the episode airing in January. For now, mark your calenders and tune in on January 14 at 11:30pm EST on NBC.
